This lightened-up Salisbury Steak is an easy weeknight night dinner or perfect for Sunday lunch. And, with many of us kicking off our healthy meal plans, this is a great, hearty meal that still keeps us on our plan. School starts back tomorrow for us, so I’m jumping back into our easy meal plan ideas for weeknight dinners, sunday lunches, and busy weekend plans.

I don’t know about you, but I have this weird mental block about what we can eat for Sunday lunch. I just feel like we need a home-style family meal. And I recently remembered how much I loved Salisbury Steak growing up.

So, as we are kicking off a new year, I’m trying to make meals that are a home run. And, let me tell you, halfway through lunch, my husband said you can repeat this.  That is the ultimate compliment and just the motivation I needed to keep this in our regular meal cycle.

What about you? What are some go-to meals your family always eats?

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Stir together with a fork to remove clumps and incorporate soup.
  • Add 1 T Worcestershire and 1 T ketchup.

  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Notes
I always keep things easy on myself and serve this over instant mashed potatoes. My favorite is Idahoan home style; I just add some milk and cheese to them.
Wheat egg noodles are an easy alternative to potatoes. But there is just nothing like that gravy on the mashed potatoes.
