These dollar store kids costumes ideas are super creative, but not expensive. Growing up, we always dressed up for Halloween and my mom was in charge of our fall festival at church. It was always a big deal for us to dress up and my super creative mom helped us pull off all kinds of ideas.
- Ace of Hearts
- Johnny Appleseed
- scarecrow
- Bear Family
- Moose
But, I’ve gotta admit. I’ve become kinda lazy in this department as a mom. I’ve realized there are so many options you can buy and pull together without having to add too much extra. Year 1, Little Man was a chicken which was perfect since my husband works for Tyson. And, last year we hosted our GuacStar party to go along with the avocado costume.
This year for Halloween, I’m thinking we may do a cowboy, Woody, or farmer since it seems to fit all our favorite things. Who even knows what kind of festivities we will be able to participate with and I might just host a little get together with our family so we have something fun to theme a party around. Because we need something fun to look forward to.
But as I’ve been investigating easy and safe costumes for Toddlers I came across an assortment of ideas at my local dollar store. Most of these were pre-made costumes you could use with clothes you may already have at home. Make sure to check out the kid’s aisle in addition to the front seasonal section. These stores often have dress-up items year-round.
