Is anyone else already making your menu plans and grocery list for Easter? I know my lists make lists around here, but this is one of those traditional meals, that just doesn’t need much added help. Whether you are hosting or attending, don’t complicate your Easter meal planning.Â

Meat – ham is usually the go-to. But brisket, roast, corned beef, or chicken can all be great options. And, do t forget to use those leftovers to make Hammy Sammies later in the week.Â
Potatoes – mashed potatoes are usually the default? But hashbrown casserole is also a great idea. Roasted potatoes, potato cakes, sweet potatoes, twice baked potatoes, baked potatoes or potato puffs all work as well!Â
Starch – I know, a potato is a starch, but there are other sides you might consider as well – macaroni and cheeses, cheesy grits, sweet potatoes, pineapple au gratin
Green – there has to be a real vegetable on the table! – green beans, creamed spinach, roasted broccoli, sheet pan roasted veggies, asparagus, Brussels, green peas, or a green fluff can work too
Carrots – since they are rabbit food, it just seems fitting to put them on the menu – one of the easiest ways to make carrots, especially if you are eating after church is to put them in the crockpot and cook in juice flavored like a roast, even if ham is on the menu
Salad – deviled eggs, green salad, green fluff, pink stuff, strawberry salads, marinated carrots and raisins, all kinds of things fit this category
Dessert – bunny cake, lemon pudding pound cake, strawberry cake, carrot cake (my favorite!), banana pudding, peeps desserts, apple dumplings, candy bar cake, Cadbury egg cakes
Bread – you can do hot crossed buns, but other things work like Hawaiian rolls, crescent rolls, garlic bread or knots, or Sister Schubert are great options
If you’re the hostess, here are a few tips that I live by to keep it easy and simple so you can enjoy your guests!
