This has been an awesome weekend. I went to Dallas on Friday for an alumni dinner that the School of Christian Studies hosted. Set up in the exhibit area at the Youth Lab at Southwestern Seminary on Saturday (thank goodness Dr. Hays was with me). Then today we had an awesome luncheon for prospective students at Prestonwood. Thanks to all who were involved and to all our awesome Pwood friends who made today so special and a huge success. Then, this afternoon, I was able to get to a wedding shower for one of my college roommates. Two others came in from Little Rock and we had such a good time hanging out. I love those girls and I love that we can just pick back up every time we are together. We shared lots of great memories at Ouachita and those common bonds keep us drawn together. I’ll post pictures and such later.
Tomorrow is a big day and this is a big week. I have my appointment at 3:00 tomorrow afternoon. It will be good to know some answers. I should know what kind of lymphoma I have and find out what the treatment plan will be and other things involved in the coming process.
This weekend was also great to see so many people who have been so supportive. Thanks to my Pwood family, my girls, and my Plymouth Park family that are being so supportive to me and my family. God is in control. This uncertainty is hard, but the way it is, so we will just wait until we know more.
This morning worship at Pwood was great and just very moving for me personally. So, I will leave you with the words of a worship song we sang this morning that kinda sums it all up:
You are God alone
From before time began
You are on your throne
You are God alone
Right now, in the good times and bad
You are on your throne
You are God alone
Unchangeable
Unshakable
Unstoppable
That’s what you are
You are God….and that’s just the way it
Hey girl, I’m praying for you all day today! I know you will continue to rely on HIS strength and HIS wisdom no matter what, but I am praying that the news is good! I’m just glad that you will have a plan after this! Keep us posted!

Hi Keisha, I think of you and pray for you each day. Your positive attitude and desire to trust God completely is an inspiration to all of us. There is a Bible verse that never fails to give me a sense of peace and hope:
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
He’s talking about you!
Take care and thanks for keeping us posted.
Love – Deb
Hey Keisha! I know I haven’t seen you in years, but I came across your blog on facebook today and have just read it all the way through. I want you to know how much I admire your courage and faith, and that I’m praying for and thinking about you. I’m currently training for a marathon for Team in Training/Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and I am definitely adding you to my honored heroes list!
