Its Week 2 of the Advent Blog Challenge.  This week brings some of my favorite topics!!!

3.
Pictures –

a.
Favorite Christmas family picture – what
memories go into getting the right picture? Do you have a place you take pictures every
year – do you go outside after lunch, are you cozied up in front of the fire, do
you have a grandma who pulls out her Polaroid?
Do you try to get all the clusters, grand kids, parents, sisters,
siblings with grandparents, cousins, screaming babies – if not, tell the rest
of us how you get around it!  Do you push
the timer button on the camera that is strategically balanced on the edge of the
TV credenza and one person runs and then you stare and smile until the little
red blinking light – Do you take kids only picutres? What if the “kids” are actually grown ups?

4.
Christmas Tree

a.
Decorations – do you use the same ones every
year? Do you change them? Are you a traditionalist and use regular colors or do
you prefer modern décor?  Do you like
homemade decorations?  Do you do the same
thing every year? Fancy, whimsical, homemade, traditional, etc.

b.
Christmas tree decorating and traditions
surrounding it? When does it go up? Who decorates it? What’s the atmosphere?
How many do you put up? What rooms? Are there themes?

5.      Community Christmas traditions – tree lighting,
hanging of the green, lights up on certain trees or hung around a certain part
of the community.  Do you have a
gathering at a local church or a living nativity, kids musical? – What happens in your community
to make you feel like it’s the holidays? Does your community celebrate in a certain way?

6.      Looking at lights – what are your favorite kind?
– do you have a great story about the house with the lights matching the radio
station or the creepy Mrs. Claus waving in the window? Do you like colored
lights or white, still and perfectly outlining a home like a gingerbread house
or racing and dancing lights?  Is there a
place you always go look at lights.  Do
you get out and drive around and stop by Starbucks,? Do you drive through the neighborhoods with
the windows up or down?

7.      Finish this sentence…”Its Christmas When…” or “It feels like
Christmas once…”

8.      Christmas Charity – Your Christmas charity of choice? Do you have
one? Who are they? How do you incorporate giving into your holiday? What do you do to teach giving to your childres?
9.     What do you wish you or your family did for Christmas that you
don’t do? Maybe a tradition another family has or something you used to do that
you don’t do any more?

Happy Advent,
