Tonight I sat down and worked on my Christmas cards.  This year, I planned ahead and had our photo cards ready to go.  I cannot say that I’m always that good.  But, I usually try to use pictures from our year to design our cards.  We were lucky this year that my cousin who is an amazing photographer took pictures while he was in TX for Christmas last year so we had THE PERFECT photo to use for our family card.

We’ve tried to be better each year to take a family photo while we are all together.  Unfortunately, it is usually after we have consumed way to many carbs!

We are also completely guilty of trying to get every combination of family pictures together.  When all the grandkids are there, we go for all the family combinations. And, there is always the photo where you balance the camera on some piece of furniture and run.  You know what I’m taking about where the grown ups are holding onto the kids and everyone is talking through their teeth while continuing to smile at the blinking red light wondering how many more times until the blinding flash.  Come on, don’t act like you cant relate.

On a serious note, Christmas pictures are always a special treasure because you never know what the year will hold.  I had 2 grandparents pass away in the months at the first of the year and the photos and videos from the previous holiday are lifetime treasures.

What ever the hassle involved, let me challenge you to capture the moments of your family being together.

(seriously why would you want to miss a moment like this?

(these are 3 cliche pictures that we capture every year.  Yes, we even have a certain side!!)
(and, there are times you have to watch your back!)

We love our PAPA! and his camo suspenders 🙂

(my favorite Christmas pictures.  Just think 3 minutes before this, we were sprawled out in the floor)

What about you?  Share your favorite Christmas photo moments!
