Oh my goodness, it is time to host holiday events, and this homemade apple cider, Winter Wassail should be on the list for any time you are trying to take care of folks. I know gathering people will look a little different this year. But, whether you are setting out a stand when people drive through your neighborhood to look at Christmas lights, serving something for your Christmas cantata at church, or want something by the fire while you watch Hallmark Movies this holiday season, Winter Wassail is so much better than hot chocolate any day!
Another great way to share this is in a mason jar or juice jug and you can package it up and leave it on a neighbor or friend’s doorstep and they can warm it up for themselves. It’s a little sweet, full of winter spices, and the fruit juices combine together to make the best taste that warms from your mouth to your toes.
And, if you need more convincing, I finally decided to share this since I have a gal I worked with in college that always texts me around Thanksgiving and asks for the recipe. So, I decided I needed to write it down so we both have it for future years!
I’m telling you warm apple drinks are where it’s at this Christmas. This is a great thing to make during “Wiseman” week as an Advent Activity with Preschoolers that you could mix up and deliver to neighbors.
