This morning I got inspired watching The Kitchen, one of my favorite shows on Saturday mornings. (I even got to drink a full cup of coffee under a quilt while watching it!) They were showing some ideas for Valentine’s Day. After the first segment, they showed a commercial for 23 and me about how her boyfriend had given her that as a “different” Valentine’s gift. That all got my crazy mind thinking about the holiday coming this week.
I’m guessing lots of people are starting to think about what Valentines they are sending with their kids to school this week or realizing they need to get something together for their own kids. Others are buying for “galentines” events, friends, a special someone, someone they want to be special, or their own love. I like Valentine’s Day. Not as much as Thanksgiving, but I love a day where we pause and celebrate love; we celebrate and focus on others. I’m thankful to have a special someone, but its not even just about that for me. I love getting to love on others. And, I hope some of these ideas will inspire you to do the same!
I tried to think of things that were “non-candy” for schools and then cover the gammut from gifts for kids, classroom, new love, old love, your own kids, community kids, traditional valentine gifts, and a few random things that I just thought needed some extra attention. No promises for my crazy to not show!
