Over the last few months, I’ve been looking to expand my selection of items offered in my Etsy store – K Cutie Designs. So I’ve been exploring digital pieces for download. In this stage and season of life, I’m realizing how important it is to surround myself with uplifting thoughts, messages, and scripture. Whether its a plaque on my shelf, a phrase on a t-shirt or coffee mug or a graphic in my Instagram feed, all have proven to be sources of encouragement.
So, with graduation season looming and having a conversation for sharing hope to a friend diagnosed with cancer and another loosing a baby, I found a place deep in my gut where I needed to find a place to take a deep breath and offer something that could help.
I went to scripture. God’s Word continues to be a source of encouragement, peace and hope when I need it most. I’ve added a new category in my Etsy store for digital design pieces. Right now, many of these are 4×6-inch or 6×4-inch downloadable files that you can print yourself or upload to an online or rooftop printing shop.
Designing these pieces has been such a healing process for me. They have helped me dig in scripture and drink in the words myself. Many times I think of a specific person or circumstance as I design each one and where I frame or place it.
Let me know if you have a verse or quote you would like a graphic for. Custom downloadable pieces are $10 for the set. For a limited time, you can use the code “BIGPITTSTOP” at checkout for 10% off your purchase.
What really got me started with my first graphic was needing to process the words I divulged in the Being Women Podcast when they hosted Sarah Wilson. I’ve known Sarah and I’ve known much of her story. But the day I was writing my Miracle Man post, I was intermittently listening to this podcast and I’m telling you God is so perfect with his timing. When I finished writing it, I went back to listen to the end of the podcast and just overwhelmed with grief and thanksgiving when she spoke the verse God has been drawing her back to. Scripture tells a story and serves as a benchmark and reminder for God’s goodness and faithfulness too us, even so undeserved.
