This quick bath salt mixture is easy to stir up with kids for a personal Valentine’s Day treat for a teacher, friend, neighbor, or loved one.

  • 12 drops Frankincense

  • Glass jars
  • paper for labels

Instructions

  • In a large glass mixing bowl, stir together salts. (use a metal or wooden utensil to stir this recipe)
  • Add in Vitamin E oil and essential oils.
  • Stir together until completely combined. (or use a metal whisk to break up the lumps)
  • Add baking soda.
  • Stir softly to gently mix.
  • Scoop into jars or containers using a funnel.
  • Add label and decorations.
  • Use 2 tablespoons in a regular-sized drawn bath.

Notes

Note: with my preschooler, I let him hold the measuring cup over the mixing bowl while I pour the salts. He can dump them in the bowl and help me count. I also let him do the stirring after I add the oils. We try to keep it all in the bowl as we stir but it gets a little messy. When it comes time to fill the jars, I have him use a funnel and a metal spoon. It takes a lot more scoops, but he gets to participate and be in a little control. He always has pride watching someone open this gift, knowing he made it wit his hands!
