Graveyard Pudding Pie

Graveyard Pudding Pie is a Halloween version of our favorite Dirt Pudding Pie. This is always a fun treat to have at our annual Halloween dinner or friend gathering.
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 2 3.9 oz boxes of instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 pkg chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 2 tubs whipped topping
  • 1 pkg Pepperidge Farms Milano cookies

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the budding mix and milk.
  • Set aside to set up and thicken.
  • Pour sandwich cookies in to gallon size back.
  • Squish out the air and seal.
  • Using a rolling pin, crunch/break up the cookies in to small pieces.
  • Once the pudding has thickened, dump the cookies in to the pudding.
  • Add one tub of whipped topping to the pudding.
  • Stir all 3 ingredients together.
  • Pour in to 9x13 baking dish.
  • Spread evenly across dish.
  • Spread second tub of whipped topping on top of pudding mixture.
  • Place Milano cookies throughout pie like tombstones standing up in a graveyard.
  • If making ahead, set the pudding mixture in the refrigerator without the Milano cookies in it and wait to place those right before serving so the part in the pudding pie does not get soggy.
  • If the cookies fall over or break, that's ok. It happens in a graveyard too.
  • Of course if you want to get crazy, you can write on the tombstones with icing before placing them. Or, you can add worms, spiders or other creepy crawly things!
