Dragon Breath Firecrackers

Dragon Breath Fire Crackers are a perfect addition to a soup bar, a snack for dads, or even a salty snack or gift treat during the holidays. They work well made with oyster crackers, club crackers, or even little cheeze-its.

Ingredients

  • 2 9 oz bag oyster crackers
  • 1 Cup vegetable oil
  • 1 pouch Spicy/Fiesta/ regular dry ranch mix
  • 1 Tablespoon Crushed Red Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 gallon ziploc bag

Instructions

  • Open bags and pour all oyster crackers in to ziploc bag.
  • In a measuring cup with a pour spout, measure out vegetable oil.
  • Add seasonings to vegetable oil and stir together with a fork.
  • Pour oil and seasonings over oyster crackers, inside bag.
  • Seal bag and rotate, turning to cover all crackers with seasoning.
  • Lay bag flat and flip over after 1 hour.
  • Crackers should absorb oil and seasoning. You may decide to flip on ends once before laying flat again.
  • Let crackers rest in seasoning for 24 hours before serving.
  • Store in ziploc bag or air tight container.

Notes

To make spicy crackers - use the spicy ranch and crushed pepeprs or ground red pepper. 
To make zesty, non-spicy crackers - use Fiesta Ranch and Lemon Pepper and no crushed peppers.
